Gary Slutkin, MD - Executive Director
Dr. Gary Slutkin has an MD from the University of Chicago and was a Chief Resident at San Francisco General Hospital. Dr. Slutkin spent 15 years working on infectious diseases and epidemics in the international public health field, including cholera, TB, refugee health, and AIDS. He learned techniques of epidemic control during seven years at the World Health Organization, where he was Chief of Intervention Development for WHO's Global Program on AIDS. Dr. Slutkin returned to Chicago in 1994 and is the founding director of CeaseFire.
